Red Herreid, 71, Moses Lake resident, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Dec. 13, at Kayser’s Chapel of Memories with Pastor Gary Pierce officiating.

Charles L “Red” Herreid was born Sept. 6, 1937, in Anchorage, Ala., to Leonard and Ella (Leque) Herreid. He served in the U.S. Army and worked 18 years for he Milwaukee Railroad. He loved toys with motors, always making them go faster.

He is preceded in death by father, Leonard, mother, Ella, and son Richard.

He is survived by son, Darin Herreid, of Moses Lake; daughters Annette Casady, of Lind, Wash., and Deanna Holding, of Tacoma, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Shirley, of Wisconsin and Joyce, of Washington; numerous nieces and nephews.
