Warrant sweep conducted in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE — The state Department of Corrections conducted a felony warrant sweep in Moses Lake where law enforcement searched for suspects with warrants Wednesday.

The DOC was assisted by the Eastern Washington Fugitive Task Force, U.S. Marshal’s Office and the Spokane Community Response Unit with arresting 14 people for DOC supervision violation warrants, DOC Community Corrections Supervisor Kim Allen said.

All 14 suspects are from Moses Lake.

Richard Martinez, 64, Ernesto Jimenez, 48, Mary Vasquez, 29, Lori Gonzalez, 32, Jesus Gomez, 45, David Zarback, 28, Monica Guerrero, 35, Loren Meade, 22, David Harris, 36, Darrell Smith, 38, Scotty Slenker, 22, David Pettit, 41, Hugo Mabry, 30 and Gregory Brimmer, 38, were all arrested for warrants.

Allen said the DOC plans to expand their warrant sweeps more frequently in the future in other areas of Grant and Adams counties.

The DOC is also seeking volunteers to conduct field work, participate in violation hearings, prepare reports and meet with offenders for case management purposes, she said.
