Born Dec. 24, 1914, in Goodrich, N. D., to Andreas Beopple and Paulina Grabofsky Beopple; passed away Jan. 31, 2008, in Cheney.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rita and Martin Seedorf, grandchildren Scott Seedorf, Seattle, and Anna Rose, Cheney, great grandsons Ben and Alex Rose and her sister Ruth Kowalski of Belvidere, Ill. Betty is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Michael Fuller of Spokane Valley and Patricia Leighton of St. Martin, France. She was preceded in death by daughter Sandra Lee Gard, husbands Francis A. Gard and John Lynch, brothers Andrew, Fred, and Ray Pepple and sisters Lydia Hanson and Alma Fuller.

A 1932 graduate of Denhoff High School in North Dakota, she moved to Spokane in 1945 where she worked for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Washington State Department of Employment Security, and the U.S. Red Cross at Fairchild Air Force Base. In 1972 she moved to Moses Lake where she lived for 23 years before relocating to Cheney.

A funeral service will be held at the Cheney Funeral Chapel on Monday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. Donations can be made to the Cheney Care Center Staff Appreciation Fund, 2219 N. 6th Street, Cheney, WA 99004. Cheney Funeral Chapel, 1632 W. First St., Cheney, WA in charge of arrangements.
