Edward Gavalir, 84, longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at SunBridge Care & Rehabilitation Center in Moses Lake.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at Pioneer Memorial Gardens with Pastor Floyd Wilks officiating. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.

Edward was born Oct. 16, 1923, in Cle Elum, Wash., to the late Jack and Elsie (Whiteman) Gavalir. Survivors include his wife, Wilma Gavalir; four stepchildren, Sharon Macy Cornwell, Melvin Macy, Virgil Macy and Glenn Macy; a niece, Tricia Sanford; and a nephew, Doug Puryer; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
