After a close match in Polson last Thursday, Libby headed to Belgrade for the State A Duals, where they placed fourth overall.
Polson overtook the Greenchain 27-36, in a tightly matched Western A dual, winning 7 of 11 matches.
Pat Wood had the only fall for Libby to Polson's two, pinning Skylar Knutson in 1:14.
Seth Wright (154) decisioned Sheldon Fisher in overtime, 6-4.
In the other overtime match, Keio Salmonson decisioned Cody Elliott, 7-5 at 125.
Levi Edwards-Myslicki decisioned Randy Kelley, 1-0 at 119.
Kyle Sweedman decisioned Shayne Ludwich, 8-2 at 135.
Brandon Mills (285) and Justin Graham (189) both won by forfeit.
According to coach Jay Graham, the young team required some last minute adjustments for the State A Duals last weekend in Belgrade.
"We didn't wrestle well against Lewiston, so we had a discussion and made some changes in the lineup," he said. "When you're young, you're going to have that."
Libby eventually took fourth, forfeiting to Ronan, who they had wrestled recently, so they could beat a storm.
"We were supposed to wrestle Ronan for third or fourth, but we've just wrestled them," he said. "We go over there so we can see other competition and Ronan was the only one in our league."
"Overall we wrestled like a young team," he said. "We had moments where we wrestled well and some where we didn't."
Graham singled out senior Shadow LeMay.
"I threw him in the lineup where we had two differrent matches, and he went undefeated in the weekend."
Graham was happy with the Greenchain's effort at the duals.
"We got to see other teams," he said. "We also saw the Corvallis team take second, who squeaked by Belgrade - and we beat Belgrade pretty good."
"We've wrestled them in the finals - we've won four or five times," added Graham. "Lewiston was the first town that we have lost to, other than Havre."
Libby lost to Havre, 12-69, who went on to become the tournament champions.
"We're not way down there - we can compete with the rest of them," he said.
Libby's dual with Eureka was cancelled due to Eureka's recent match with Arlee, who had contracted a virus.
The Greenchain wrestled Columbia Falls Thursday and Whitefish tonight starting at 4:15 in Libby.
"We get to stay home tomorrow night and Friday," said Graham. "We rest up before next week's divisional."
