WHITEFISH - The Glacier Twins were supposed to be off today, resting for Saturday's Championship Round at the 24th Annual Sapa-Johnsrud Memorial Baseball Tournament.

Mother Nature had other plans.

The Twins and the Calgary Blues breezed through nearly three innings Thursday night despite vicious winds at Memorial Park before an ensuing blackout left the field too dark for play and the city without power.

The teams were locked in a scoreless tie when the stadium lights went out at 8:43. The game was officially postponed about 25 minutes later because electricity had not returned.

Glacier will be in business when play resumes today at about 5 p.m.

The Twins have the bases loaded with two outs in the bottom of the third. Brad Nielsen is batting with an 0-1 count, and Zane Ridings, Scott Yogodzinski and Ryan Caron are on third, second and first base, respectively.

Yogodzinski faced just nine batters during his three innings on the mound. Calgary's Terrence Myers singled to lead off the second inning, but Yogodzinski forced the next batter to fly out before the Twins ended the threat with a 5-4-3 double play.

Palmer, Yogodzinski and Ridings have singles for Glacier. Calgary pitcher Kyle Blair has four strikeouts.

The Twins are 2-1 in American Division pool play, while the Blues are 1-2.
