MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Junior Legion 16U A team's district series at Lauzier field in Moses Lake was canceled this weekend.

The Sun Devils were scheduled to host the Yakima Scarlets in a winner-to-state district championship series Friday.

The games have been rescheduled for tonight, Moses Lake Sun Devils publicity director Beth Laszlo said.

The Sun Devils host the Scarlets in a doubleheader at Lauzier field tonight beginning at 4 p.m.

Laszlo said whichever team wins the series will earn a spot in the state tournament Aug. 2-6 in Spokane.

The series is a best-of-three scenario. If the teams split the doubleheader in Moses Lake, the Sun Devils will travel to Yakima for a winner-to-state play-in game with the Scarlets.
