Moses Lake defeated Yakima to earn birth in state tournament

MOSES LAKE - Following a 21-14 victory over the Yakima Scarlets, the Moses Lake Sun Devils earned a birth in the Washington State American Legion Baseball Junior A championship tournament in Spokane. The tournament begins Saturday at University High School in Spokane.

After a series of events caused the district championship to be rescheduled, the Sun Devils knocked off Yakima Monday night in Moses Lake.

The Sun Devils open up play at the state tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday morning against Central Valley.

The American Legion state championship tournament is a double elimination tournament.
