Meetings Wednesday are to benefit veterans

MOSES LAKE - The Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) is hosting two meetings Wednesday in Moses Lake to offer assistance to local veterans.
The Community Networking Lunch and Town Hall meeting takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The meeting is scheduled at the Moses Lake Elks Lodge. The lodge is located at 814 N. Stratford Rd. in Moses Lake.
Several local leaders including the WDVA director and Veterans Affairs officials will be available to answer questions and provide information beneficial to those who served the military. People interested in attending can contact WDVA at 360-725-2180.
The Veterans Information and Assistance Fair is located at the same venue from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Information concerning employment opportunities and education benefits will be available at the fair. Visitors can get information about benefits available to veterans including funeral honors, aging services, nursing home care, pension plans and financial assistance. Counseling resources will be provided to veterans and their family members.
Some participants are eligible to enroll in Veterans Affair Healthcare plans and can apply at the fair.
