Moses Lake Parks and Rec to host summer camps

MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Parks and Recreation Department is taking sign ups for various summer sports camps.

Tennis

Moses Lake High School tennis coach John Wrigley will instruct the camp that will take place at the high school tennis courts. Campers will work on skills, strategy and match play. Tennis camp runs June 16-20 and the cost is $35 per person.

Golf

This camp for for 7- to 14-year-olds will take place under the instruction of MLHS coach Lonny Brown at Hylander Greens. Campers will learn the game of golf which includes full swing, putting, chipping and golf etiquette. Cost for the camp, which runs June 16-20, is $40 per person.

Boys soccer

For ages K-6, the camp will take place at Garden Heights Soccer Fields June 16-20. Instructors Ricardo Char and Bill Bertram, MLHS coaches, will teach participants the fundamentals of soccer which includes shooting, dribbling, passing and team play. Cost is $30 but for $40.00 campers will receive a logo soccer ball.

Girls soccer

This camp for ages K-6 takes place June 16-20 at the Garden Heights Soccer Fields where participants will learn basic soccer skills such as passing, kicking, juggling and throwing through fun games, activities and drills. Cost is $30 but for $40 campers will receive a logo soccer ball.
