Three-Mile Water District is adding two wells to increase water flow for its 3,000 customers.

“We previously just had two wells,” said Three-Mile Water District Manager Owen Beachy. “The water flow will now stay ahead of customer demand.”

The district provides water to homes and businesses within 3 miles of Three-Mile.

Minden Water Wells, owned by Ed Minden of Bonners Ferry is drilling the wells.

It's expected to cost $30,000 to $35,000 and will be completed by mid-summer. The water district has money saved to cover the costs.

Customers' $22.50 monthly fee will not increase because of the new wells.
