Janet E. Breaux, 65, 'was called home to be with her Lord and Savior' on Feb. 16, 2008, after a long struggle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). She passed quietly with courage, faith and no fear, as she knew the Lord's mighty hand was on her.

Mom was born Feb. 21,1942, to Harold and Violet Swor in Coulee Dam, Wash. She was the middle child of three daughters; her sisters are Carol Dettmann and Linda Smith. She had two children: a son, Glen Kinsey, and a daughter, Shannon Hatico. She also raised and mentored many stepchildren and foster children, whom she called her own.

Mom was a caregiver who took care of and helped anyone, stranger or friend, who was in need. The lives she touched will forever be changed. 'Her legacy she left with us will be left in our hearts, until we are reunited with her in paradise.'

She will be missed but never forgotten, and she showed kindness and unconditional love to everyone around her. She raised not only my brother and myself, but several stepchildren and foster children. She gave whatever she could give to those in need, never expecting anything in return.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, showing unconditional love and tolerance. Mom loved the outdoors and the simple life, never asking for anything but always giving to all. She was outspoken and truthful and lived her life by the greatest commandment of all — 'Love others as I have loved you.'

'We will not say good-bye as you are with us always in our hearts and memories; for we will see you soon in the clouds and just beyond the moon.'

We love you always and may your legacy live with us and through us forever.

She is survived by her husband, Giles Breaux; son, Glen Kinsey; daughter, Shannon Hatico; sisters, Linda Smith and Carol Dettmann; granddaughters, Tashina Boyd, Shandara Shields and Destiny Kinsey; grandsons, Trinity Hatico and Jarrod Kinsey; two great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces, stepchildren, stepgrandchildren and foster children.
