After only three years of bowling, Kaleb Stockton is the Idaho State Champion bowler for his age group.
“Makes me feel really good, its just fun,” said the 8-year-old, son of Kevin and Heidi Stockton. “My dad just kept telling me stuff (about how to bowl) and I listened.”
Kaleb's uncle, Kent Stockton, taught him to bowl when he was 5.
Kaleb now bowls in Friday morning youth league at A.J.'s Lanes.
“Well, when I bowl and people mess up, I tell them what to do (to fix it),” he said. “I got a lot of my friends to start bowling.”
Kaleb is headed to Coeur d' Alene for the Regional Qualifer.
“It's a lot of work,” said Kevin Stockton.
“I'm gonna bowl in college and hopefully go pro,” Kaleb added. “My dad helps me when I mess up. If I do good, I just memorize what I did.”
He also likes to play basketball.
