ROYAL CITY - Othello's boys tennis team won all five matches against Royal on Monday, but Royal's girls pulled off a pair of three-set wins to upend the Huskies in a non-league outing.

Royal's No. 2 single, Anna Dahlke, survived a back-and-forth affair with Othello's Jadee Roylance, winning a 10-6 super tiebreaker. Dahlke won the first set 6-2 before Roylance bounced back to win the second, 6-4.

Another well-played match occurred at No. 1 doubles, as the Knights' duo of Amber Christensen and Emily Hoelscher held off Priscilla Cantu and Kayla Spohr, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4.

The Knights' top single, Kelcy Jansen, ended up a 6-4, 6-3 winner against Jessy Schmidt.

Othello took the final two doubles matches, beginning with second-seeded Jody Walker and Scherry Leudhardt's 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Breahna Weisser and Hollie Clause. The Huskies' No. 3 team of Ashley Snyder and Vanessa Montemayor beat Judith Mendez and Amy Martinez (6-0, 6-1).

On the boys' side, the Knights forfeited matches at No. 2 singles and No. 3 doubles. But the Huskies earned the remainder of the win in convincing fashion.

The Huskies' No. 1 single, Adam Beus, was a 6-3, 6-1 winner over Candy Peraza. At No. 1 doubles, Othello's Sam Harris and T.D. Petersen ousted Michael Hebdon and Ben Singer (6-3, 6-2). At No. 2 doubles, Judah Gowan and Ryley Petersen downed Chase Hebdon and Lucas Warren (6-3, 6-3).
