Two downtown Bonners Ferry businesses recently merged.

Michael Listman and Rita Pensmith, owners of Boundary Computer, bought two RadioShack franchises, one on Main Street and another in Ponderay near Wal-Mart.

“We are sharing customers back and forth, and it just made sense to merge our computer store with an electronics store,” said Pensmith.

Boundary Computer RadioShack has had a complete staff turnover and employs four.

The business offers Dish television satellite installations and activations, all computer services including repairs, sales, custom built computers and commercial repairs, contracts and maintenance, Web site development and hosting and ATT cellular phone activation.

The business has also added acoustic and electric guitars.

“The old RadioShack had musical stuff and three of our employees are into guitars,” said Pensmith. “No where (else) has guitars in town. We are looking to expand to meet the needs of the community.”
