MOSES LAKE - A Moses Lake man was stabbed by another man Saturday outside a bar on West Broadway Avenue, according to the Moses Lake police.

Officers responded to the bar concerning a disturbance in progress and located the victim, Moses Lake police Capt. Dave Ruffin said. The man was reportedly stabbed in the lower stomach at approximately 12:30 a.m.

The victim was transported to Samaritan Healthcare for treatment to the injury and was released. The victim is in his mid-20s. Ruffin said the exact age of the male was not available because their information system was down.

The unidentified suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, he said.

The suspect is described as in his early 30s, white, stocky, shaved head, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and was wearing dark clothes, Ruffin said.

The suspect and the victim did not appear to know each other, he said. It is unclear why the stabbing took place and remains under investigation.

People with information related to the incident can contact Detective Juan Loera at 509-766-9230.
