With his family by his side, "Jesus called our husband, father and friend, Roy Marvin Thomson, home" Nov. 2, 2008. He was born to Thomas and Marcella Thomson on Sept. 28, 1933.

He and his wife, Ann, moved to Columbia Falls in 2004, to be close to their daughter.

He got great comfort attending Valley Victory Church in KaIispell.

Roy is survived by his wife, Ann, and daughter, Connie Christofferson, of Columbia Falls; son, Marvin Thomson, of Fort Collins, Colo.; sister, Darlene, and husband, Tom Mace, of Salt Lake City; and many grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Thomas and Marcella Thomson; sister, Betty Peckham; brother, Clarence Thomson; and his aunt, Mable Main.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home in Kalispell. Interment with military honors will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.

Climate Smart Glacier Country announced its Climate Smart Champions during a ceremony at the Earth Day celebration April 21 in Whitefish. Awards were presented to businesses, youth and an individual who are leaders in building local solutions to climate change challenges.
