James Marcus Marchand

James Marcus Marchand, 62, a longtime resident of Moses Lake and Ruff, Wash., died at his home Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008. He was born in Omak and raised in Moses Lake from the age of 2. He entered the Navy at 17 and was stationed at San Diego. His passion was working on his cars. Most of his life he worked as an operator engineer. His last place of employment was Hanford Nuclear Center. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, a son, Shawn and five grandchildren, a sister, JoAnn Hochstatter and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Jim in death are his parents, Cecil and Irene Marchand, a sister, Janet Turner and a great-nephew, Jackson. Family and friends are invited for a celebration of his life on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. at the home of JoAnn Hochstatter, 2928 W. Marina Dr., Moses Lake. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriner’s Hospital. Arrangements are in care of Benson Family Funeral Service, Moses Lake.
