QUINCY— The Lady Jacks of Quincy hosted the Grandview Greyhounds in a Central Washington Athletic Conference division 2A Volleyball match up Thursday night.

The Greyhounds were led by 2007 CWAC Most Valuable Player Kinzi Poteet and jumped out to an early lead over the Lady Jacks.

In the first game with Granview, the Lady Jacks could only muster nine points as the Greyhounds ran away with the 25-9 victory.

In game two, the Lady Jacks traded points early with Grandview before the Greyhounds went on a streak and stopped the Lady Jacks 25-8.

Quincy put up a fight during the third game of the match before eventually falling 25-16.

Quincy coach Jeannie Brindle said the Greyhounds brought some important players to Thursday night's match.

"Kinzi was last year's MVP and they added some big girls with her," Brindle said.

Despite the loss, Brindle said she was pleased with how well her team prepared for the game.

"I'm proud of my girls," she said. "They stepped up and played good volleyball tonight."

Rachel Tobin had two kills, two blocks and one ace. Manda Brindle added two kills, four assists and four digs.

Kayla Horning also had two kills and four digs in the loss.
