Nestor Framness, 90, passed away from a heart attack Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish. He was born March 22, 1918, in Gillett, Wis., and moved to Montana in 1952.
Nestor was married to Dot McDonald in 1940, and they raised four sons together.
He built his home in Columbia Falls in 1970 where he remained until his death.
Nestor served in the Navy during World War II.
He worked most of his years for Westmont Tractor as a Caterpillar mechanic in Kalispell and retired in 1982.
He loved horseback riding, hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities.
Nestor was a very strong, dedicated Christian man. He was a local elder in the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dot; his four sons, Hal, Ron, Rick and Dan; a daughter-in-law, Shirley; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 269 Second Ave. EN, in Columbia Falls.
Arrangements are with Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.
