Suspects were armed

MOSES LAKE - Two Moses Lake men were arrested after allegedly committing an armed robbery at a residence on Grape Drive Tuesday morning.

Eric P. Regan, 24, was arrested for robbery in the first degree, according to Moses Lake police. Kevin M. Bemish, 32, was arrested for robbery in the first degree, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property in the second degree and warrants concerning escape and resisting arrest.

Regan and Bemish were reportedly invited into the residence and are apparently acquaintances with the person who lives there, Moses Lake police Capt. Dave Ruffin said. Once inside, the suspects reportedly brandished a semi-automatic handgun and a stun gun at the resident.

The handgun was not discharged but the stun gun was triggered, he said. No one was injured as the stun gun was not used on anyone.

Regan and Bemish reportedly stole a gift card worth at least $130 from the residence, Ruffin said. When police located the suspects shortly after the robbery, Bemish was allegedly in possession of a stolen credit card.

The credit card was not stolen from the Grape Drive residence. It was reported stolen Sept. 25, 2008, from a residence on Road F in Grant County.

The incidents remain under investigation.
