PEORIA, Ariz. - Moses Lake High School seniors Brock Lybbert and Blaine Myers headed to Peoria, Ariz. this week to participate in the Arizona Senior Fall Classic baseball tournament.

Lybbert and Myers were starters for the Moses Lake High School varsity baseball team in 2008 and will participate for the Eastern Washington Fall Scout Team.

Participants in the tournament will play baseball for three days in front of more than 300 professional scouts and college coaches.

The tournament began Oct. 16 and runs through Sunday Oct. 19.

This is the 13th season of the program and the tournament provides high school baseball players an opportunity to participate against some of the top high school baseball prospects in the country.

Lybbert and Myers each earned second team All-Columbia Basin Big-9 honors for the Chiefs last season and both competed for the Columbia Basin River Dogs team this past summer.

As members of the River Dogs team, both Moses Lake seniors will participate in the 2009 16-18 Babe Ruth World Series being held in Moses Lake Aug. 13 through Aug. 22 at Larson Playfield.
