MOSES LAKE - Registration for the 2008-2009 after school girls basketball program closes Oct. 29.

The City of Moses Lake Parks and Recreation Department and the Moses Lake School District are sponsoring an after school girls basketball program.

The after school program is designed to benefit girls in fourth, fifth and sixth grades.

There is no cost to participate and the success of the program relies on parents participating as coaches.

The program is designed to teach fundamental basketball skills and provide participants an opportunity to develop a healthy relationship with athletics.

The basketball program will also teach sportsmanship and emphasize teamwork and participation.
