SOAP LAKE - The Harlem Ambassadors is entertaining a crowd at Soap Lake High School tonight.
Tickets are $15 for a spaghetti dinner and entry to the game. Entry to the game without dinner is $7, with free entry to children under 5 years old.
"The Harlem Ambassadors offer a unique brand of Harlem-style basketball, featuring high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks and hilarious comedy routines," according to the team.
Proceeds from the event help the school's football team and cheerleaders fund activities and uniforms.
High school sophomores are organizing the dinner.
"At our shows, we want the kids to know that they're part of our team, too," stated Coach Lade Majic. "We invite as many kids as we can to come sit on the bench, have a front-row seat during the show, and get involved in all of the fun stuff we do."
In the past, Harlem Ambassadors worked with other organizations including American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Kiwanis, Lions and Rotary.
"It feels good to be able to provide quality entertainment and create memories that the fans will take with them," stated Ambassadors President Dale Moss. "We're able to give even more when we can help provide funding for a Habitat for Humanity house or new computers for the school library, and that feels great."
