Manta Rays to hold free tryouts

MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Manta Rays swim club is offering a free two-week tryout for Columbia Basin swimmers interested in joining the program.

The trial period begins Monday, Sept. 15 and ends Friday, Sept. 26. Available swim periods are 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. or 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Interested participants may call Manta Ray head coach Steve Witcher at (509) 431-7222 to register for a water test.

Water testing will take place Saturday, Sept. 13 between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Interested swimmers must be able to swim freestyle for one length of the pool and prospective participants must be 6 years old or older.

The free offer is available for new swimmers only. Returning participants are not eligible for the free tryout.
