MOSES LAKE - The City of Moses Lake Parks and Recreation Department is offering free after school athletic activities for fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students beginning Sept. 22 with coed volleyball.

The purpose of the parks and recreation activity is to teach participants basic volleyball skills and sportsmanship. The emphasis of the department's program will be teamwork and participation.

The volleyball season will run from Sept. 22 through Oct. 30, and practice times and dates will be determined by the coaches of each team.

Registration for the after school activity closes Sept. 10 and the success of the program depends on the willingness of parents to coach the teams.

For more information about the after school programs call: (509) 766-9244.
