MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Chiefs girls soccer team remained perfect following Thursday night's victory on the field turf at the renovated Lions Field in Moses Lake.

The Chiefs earned their fourth victory of the season by defeating the Ephrata Tigers 3-1.

Moses Lake's Magie Munoz's goal in the game's seventh minute gave the Chiefs an early 1-0 lead.

The Chiefs dominated the first 20 minutes of play and Moses Lake head coach Ric Char was proud of his team's start.

"We are playing great soccer," he said. "It feels kind of surreal. This is the best start we've had since I was hired."

Moses Lake entered the half with a 2-0 lead following sophomore Sydney Kimbro's first-half goal.

Char said he was excited following Kimbro's score.

"Sydney's first goal felt good," he said. "It helped her confidence."

Ephrata cut the Moses Lake lead in half when Amy McMillan scored for the Tigers to make the score 2-1.

Tigers' head coach Hillary Coomes was proud of her team's goal.

"That was just awesome," she said. "They unselfishly passed it off and put it in the back of the net."

The Chiefs finished the scoring when Munoz added her second goal of the game in the 75th minute to give Moses Lake a 3-1 victory.

Moses Lake travels to Wenatchee Saturday while the Tigers host Deer Park.
