CONNELL - The visiting Warden Cougars fell to the Connell Eagles in a SCAC-East Division girls volleyball contest Tuesday night.

The Eagles three game sweep of Warden dropped the Cougars to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in league play.

Connell stopped the Cougars 25-22, 25-21 and 25-18 in the three game match.

Following the loss, Warden head coach Jeff Kottong said he was not satisfied with his team's performance.

"I felt like we could have played better," he said. "We have things we need to work on."

Despite his team's performance, Kottong said his team showed signs of improvement.

"The girls have a lot of potential," he said.

Amanda Martinez led the Cougars with nine assists and nine digs. Warden's Cassandra Kisler had seven digs and Kacey Kisler had four kills in the loss.
