ROYAL CITY - The Royal Lady Knights swept the visiting Wahluke Warriors Tuesday night to win their first league match of the season.
The Lady Knights were able to win three straight games 25-18, 25-6 and 25-20 to win their league opener.
Royal volleyball coach Ashley Roberts said the victory gave the Lady Knights an advantage in league play.
"This was a great opening league match for Royal tonight," she said. ""It was a fun way to start the season off with a win and I felt good about how the girls played tonight."
Olivia Christensen led the Lady Knights with seven kills and three blocks. Leslie Brown added three kills and 10 assists to go along with four aces.
The Lady Knights took advantage of their offense to earn the victory, Roberts said.
"We got to run a lot of plays that we have been working on and everyone got to play," she said. "You just can't beat that."
The Lady Knights return to action tonight at Columbia-Burbank.
