Freeman executes 32-14 win over PR

PRIEST RIVER — Senior QB Luke Mathews went 9 for 17 with two touchdowns and 139 yards passing to lead Freeman to the 32-14 non-league win over host Priest River Friday night. Scottie senior running back Tanner Laib contributed 139 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries.

"Freeman simply executed better than us and we got outplayed on the line," said Spartan Head Coach Jared Hughes. 

Priest River QB Brian Fulp threw for 113 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in the loss. Mathews added a seven yard rushing touchdown in the first half.

Freeman (1-1, 0-0) travels to Rathdrum to face the Hawks on Friday.  Priest River (2-1, 0-0) has their first IML match-up Friday night at Timberlake.
