Devils take three straight from Tigers

WILSON CREEK - The Wilson Creek Devils took three straight games from the Thorp Tigers Tuesday night.

The Devils won 25-21, 25-19 and 25-22 to wrap up the match.

While the Devils came away with the match win, head coach Mike Ottis was not impressed with his team's serving.

"Obviously (it was) our weakness tonight," he said. "We had 16 missed serves. Average that out it is five points from each game and that is something we just don't do."

Ottis was frustrated with his team's performance from the serving line but was satisfied with Paige Dennis' effort.

"She was our best server tonight," he said.

Dennis led Wilson Creek with five aces and finished 16 of 17 serving.

Despite his team's serving, Ottis was satisfied with his team's overall performance.

"Minus the serving, our strength was our overall team movement and defense," he said.

"Ksenja Fredere led the Devils with 16 kills and 3 blocks and Jackie Treat added 30 assists.
