YAKIMA - The Moses Lake girls soccer team rebounded from two Columbia Basin League losses last week to down the Davis Pirates 2-0 Saturday.

The Chiefs jumped on top of the Pirates when freshman Colby Happer scored on an assist from sophomore Magie Munoz following a Moses Lake corner kick.

The goal was Happer's fifth of the season, came in the game's 34th minute and gave the Chiefs a 1-0 lead.

With the game still undecided, Munoz fielded a pass from sophomore Sydney Kimbro and put the ball in the back of the Davis net. Munoz's goal came in the 78th minute and gave Moses Lake a 2-0 victory.

The Chiefs return to action Tuesday night when they host West Valley at Lions Field.
