Moses Lake man assaulted at knifepoint

MOSES LAKE — A 29-year-old Moses Lake man was assaulted after a man entered his home intending to rob him Thursday afternoon.
The information was released from the Moses Lake Police Department Friday.
The suspect knocked on the door to the West Crouse Street residence. When the victim opened the door, the suspect forced his way into the residence holding a large knife, Moses Lake police reported.
The suspect pushed the victim into a corner, punching him and assaulting him with a frying pan, police reported.
The suspect was attempting to rob the home but did not appear to steal anything, Moses Lake Police Chief Dean Mitchell said. The suspect fled toward Marina Drive.
The victim was transported to Samaritan Healthcare for treatment and was released the same day.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 6 foot 3 inches tall, slender, wearing a brown and black baseball cap, black jacket and blue jeans, police reported.
