Easter egg hunts on tap this weekend

Easter arrives this weekend and a certain bunny rabbit and brightly-colored eggs will be among the sights at local events for children.
In Libby, the Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Youth Court Services is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at J. Neils Memorial Park.
Age groups include: Walking to age 2, ages 3-5, ages 5-9 and ages 10-12. For each age group, a grand prize will be awarded along with second-place and third-place prizes. And more than 150 prize eggs will be hidden for each age group.
In Troy, the annual Roosevelt Park Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Children 12 years old and younger are invited to come to the park and search for eggs filled with prizes. The Easter Bunny will also make an appearance at the free, volunteer- and donation-supported event.

Troy Softball Takes Two From Drummond
The Drummond High School softball team rolled into Troy Saturday with high hopes of ending a long streak of being on the wrong end of the score, and for half of the first game of the doubleheader, looked like they had every chance of doing just that. However the host Trojans exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, and then shut down Drummond in the top of the fifth, winning 14-3. Troy kept the bats hot in the second game, plating 21 runs to end that game early as well, 21-11.
Action on Quiet Waters Initiative expected May 26
The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will act on the Quiet Waters rule proposal in a meeting rescheduled for 8:30 a.m. May 26 at Montana WILD.
