Man accused of having sex with minor

An 18-year-old Bonners Ferry man is accused of having sex with a 13-year-old Moyie Springs girl.

Edward Perez was arrested April 2, the morning the complaint was filed with the Boundary County Sheriff’s Office.

Perez submitted to a hair and saliva samples and remains in Boundary County Jail on $500,000 bond.

The new charge added to Perez’s troubles. He was free on $10,000 for allegedly burglarizing  a Moyie Springs home on Jan. 7. and a Bonners Ferry car on Feb. 12. 

Judge Patrick Luster will hear Perez’s case 9:30 a.m. April 28.
