WARDEN — The Warden girls golf team set a Cougars’ course record at the Sage Hills Golf Resort Tuesday afternoon when they shot a combined 404.

Warden head girls coach Myrtle Voss said her team performed well Tuesday afternoon.

“They shot out of their tree,” she said. “Lara (Crow), Carter (Marks) and Taylor (Edson) shot their personal best.

Voss said she was proud of her girls team Tuesday.

“I am really excited,” she said. “These girls work really hard.”

Warden senior Kim McPartland shot an match-best 92 to lead all golfers.

While McPartland, Crow, Marks and Haley Buck led Warden to a course-record 404, Voss said she was proud of her entire team.

“They (all) were phenomenal,” she said. “It was just a really exciting day.”

During Monday’s practice for Tuesday’s conference contest, Buck shot a hole in one on the 10th hole at the Sage Hills Golf Resort, Voss said.

“It was the first time a Warden High School player has shot a hole in one.”
