Charlene A. Winter, 70, of Libby died of cancer on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the Libby Care Center.

She was born May 22, 1938 in Tacoma, Wash., to Charlie and Evelyn (Eby) Price. She grew up and attended school in Tacoma and Puyallup, Wash. She married Norman Winter on April 25, 1970 in Puyallup. They moved to Libby in June 1972.

Mrs. Winter enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, knitting and shopping. 

Survivors include her husband, Norman Winter, of Libby; children, Cynthia Makescoldweather of Libby; Debbie Winchester of Spokane, Wash.; Rick and Tammy Herzog of Graham, Wash.; Steven Winter and wife Pam of Libby; Laura Winter of Montana; 13 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held. Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby handled arrangements.
