When I first saw the item in today’s picture, I had no idea what it was. I came from a dirt farm in Alabama where we did by hand what this implement was designed to do.
Can you tell me what it is and how it was used? If you know the answer then give me a call at 1-800-507-9426. Give me your answer, name and telephone number. If you are a new caller, spell your name.
Last week, I mentioned that Drexel Love made me guess where the photo that appeared in your paper was made. I guessed Naples and that was the right answer as far as it went.
It took the people listed below to fill in the details. They all said that the picture was shot from the old bridge looking north to the new highway bridge.
Joyce Jenkins said that the train had just left Naples and was headed south.
Pat Ramsey, Stan Sweet, Ed Bohlman and Spring Fort also had the correct answer.

Sittin' Here Thinkin'
Today, I want to share with you my trip to the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. Inland Northwest Honor Flight had chosen 35 veterans to make the flight back to Washington along with an excellent group of volunteers called “guardians.” We flew from Spokane to Salt Lake, and then on to Baltimore, Maryland. Upon arrival, we were shuttled to the Hilton Hotel where we ended the day with an outstanding dinner.
