Cabinet View stages annual Member-Guest tourney

Joe Cielak and Chuck Eble turned in a gross score of 135 to claim first place in this past weekend’s Member-Guest Tournament at Cabinet View Country Club in Libby.
The team of Jimmy Mee and Allen Green had the top net score with a 124, four strokes better than runners-up Spence Bocks and Dave Christiansen.
Bobbi Lacklen and Patti Reisinger took first place in gross among those in the Ladies Flight with a 169. Donna Havens and Bobbie Bamford had first net with a 125.
Robin Swimley and Craig Henkel had the top gross score in the first flight with a 142. Gary Peck and Brian Coultier had first net at 121.
In the second flight, Rich and Dave Reisinger had top gross at 159. Bill Rowberry and Walt Mason had first net at 129 in a scorecard playoff over Duane Christiansen and John Knowles.
Charlie Farrell and Russ Klare had first gross in the third flight with a 169. Ross Smith and Bruce Cole claimed first net at 128.

Troy Softball Takes Two From Drummond
The Drummond High School softball team rolled into Troy Saturday with high hopes of ending a long streak of being on the wrong end of the score, and for half of the first game of the doubleheader, looked like they had every chance of doing just that. However the host Trojans exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, and then shut down Drummond in the top of the fifth, winning 14-3. Troy kept the bats hot in the second game, plating 21 runs to end that game early as well, 21-11.
Action on Quiet Waters Initiative expected May 26
The Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission will act on the Quiet Waters rule proposal in a meeting rescheduled for 8:30 a.m. May 26 at Montana WILD.
