Ruth Christine Oliver, 94, passed away in Kootenai, Idaho, on Saturday, Nov, 28, 2009.

Memorial services will be announced this summer.

Ruth was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Feb. 6, 1915, the daughter of Edward and Ella Olson. She attended Bonner County schools and married Russell Oliver on April 15, 1933, in Newport, Wash.

The family lived on the Oliver Ranch near Colburn. She was active in the family business, being the book keeper for the Russell Oliver Logging and Construction Company. 

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sandpoint.

Ruth enjoyed dancing, swimming, doing puzzles, her vegetable and flower gardens.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Luella Madsen of Sandpoint, Idaho; her son, Glen Oliver of Sandpoint; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild; and her brother, Ed Olson in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter, Dianna; and a great-grandson, Tony.
