Chiefs hold annual scrimmage

RONAN — Before the start of the regular season, the Ronan boysl basketball team held its annual Black and Orange scrimmage.

The Chiefs opened the 2009-10 season on Tuesday against Valley Christian. Results were unavailable at press time. The team will play in the Tip-Off Tournament against Stevensville at 7:45 p.m. on Friday in Polson  and against Corvallis at 3:15 on Saturday in Ronan.

Maidens lose two

Sophomore Nina Orozco dives for a ball during the Tip-off tournament. Against Big Sky last Tuesday, Ronan lost 63-13. Junior Jonna Grant led with four points and went two-for-two at the free throw line. Last Saturday, the Maidens lost 40-33 to Mission. Orozco led with nine points.
