Fresh out of the Seattle music scene, the band QUIST will be rocking out the Hot Club in Troy on Friday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m.

A vintage hard rock sound with a new style, the band has been out on tour for the last year, playing shows across the Northwest and in different venues across Montana.

Guthrie and Halladay Quist, son and daughter to Montana’s legendary singer/songwriter Rob Quist, combine soaring sibling vocal harmonies with searing guitar licks, thunderous drums and throbbing bass to accompany an electrifying stage show.

Taking it down a notch, both Guthrie and Halladay Quist write their own music – melodies that set the landscape for the young poet’s quest.

After receiving a music scholarship to Pepperdine University, Guthrie moved to California to study with noted opera singer/instructor Dr. Henry Price and had a memorable turn in Mozart's "The Magic Flute."  There, he met a hungry young drummer named Patrick McKenna, who would later be accepted in the Cornish School of Music. In the meantime, Halladay toured Europe as a member of University of Montana's renowned Chambre Chorale, while pursuing a degree in journalism.

Since their first tour in 2003, this power trio has been developing their signature sound.
