Kalispell police

Following a van as it reportedly drove erratically through downtown on Saturday morning, a motorist stayed on the phone with Kalispell Police, giving officers a blow-by-blow account as the van reportedly almost hit two cars head on as it swerved all over the road, then ran over the curb, went off the road, hit some trees and later pulled into the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant on East Idaho Street. The female driver reportedly exited the van with a bleeding nose and was later transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center. Police are investigating.

After reportedly hearing the sound of a crash, a resident called police, who found a vehicle high centered on the median along Third Avenue West around 2 a.m. Saturday. Police arrested the driver on charges of felony possession of dangerous drugs and driving under the influence.

Friday afternoon, a woman reportedly kicked in a door at a residence on Eighth Avenue West, thus violating a restraining order against her, then left without further incident. It is unknown where she went. A report is pending.

Late Friday night, a woman called police to report that, two days ago, her ex-husband drove by her home on First Avenue West. Saturday morning, the woman called back to report that her ex-husband is stalking her. Parties were counseled.

Kalispell police received 17 calls for service between 2:30 p.m. Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Flathead County sheriff

Earrings, mugs, ornaments, plates, platters and a reindeer set were stolen from an Electric Avenue store’s display case sometime between Thursday evening and Saturday morning. Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating and no suspects have been named.

Repeatedly knocking on the door of a residence along Montana 35 Friday evening, a man refused to leave until residents said they were calling authorities. The man has been arrested 17 times in the past on various charges.

A Kalispell resident called from Texas to report that his vehicle had been stolen Friday evening. A friend had reportedly left the keys in the vehicle so some work could be done on it, but then the vehicle reportedly vanished. The vehicle was later located at the owner’s residence on Scenic Ridge Road.

An illegal slash fire near Tally Lake Road was put out by authorities around 9 p.m. Friday.

A man returned from out of town Friday night to find his home on Lake Blaine Drive ransacked and many items taken. Deputies are investigating.

A suspicious vehicle pulled in to a business park on Conestoga Court and stayed for a while. When a deputy arrived to investigate around 10 p.m. Friday, he discovered the driver was making a cellular phone call.

Following a single-car rollover, a passenger was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Suspicious people reportedly walking around a Columbia Falls lumber yard with flashlights around 5:30 a.m. Saturday were doing repairs.

A dumpster fire at a Columbia Falls container site was contained around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Four people were booked into the Flathead County Detention Center between Friday night and Saturday afternoon on charges of driving under the influence

Deputies received 64 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Whitefish Police received 24 calls for service between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Columbia Falls police

Columbia Falls Police arrested a 23-year-old man around 2:30 a.m. Saturday near a gas station on U.S. 2 on charges of driving under the influence.
