EUREKA — After playing four games in five days last week, the Mission girls’ basketball team has eight days to prepare for its next game.

Last Tuesday, the Lady Bulldogs played their fourth and final game against Eureka, ending in a 42-34 loss.

The game was close for the whole 32 minutes.

“I think the largest lead was eight points and that was at the end,” head coach Les Rice said.

At the half, the score was tied at 16 but the difference   in the second half was making baskets, Rice said.

“They made shots and we missed some good shots,” he said.

Senior Katie McDonald and junior Kyla Mitchell led the team with eight points each, while junior Adessa Durglo had six.

Overall, Rice said the team did well during the packed schedule and not being able to hit the practice floor.

Now, the Bulldogs will prepare for Noxon on Jan. 7, working on scoring.

“They have a player that can score 24 points a game and we can’t put 24 points up as a team,” Rice said. “We will have to work on that.”
