The Libby High School wrestling team placed third at the Northwestern A Divisional and qualified 12 wrestlers for the Class A State Tournament.

Kyle Sweedman and Justin Graham each won individual titles for the Loggers. Sweedman, who may have broken his nose, took first at 152 pounds with a 6-3 decision over Kaleb Prestegaard of Whitefish. Graham defeated rival Kelly Houle of Columbia Falls in overtime, 6-4, in the 215 finale.

Also qualifying for state from the Loggers were Kyle Leir (125), Cody Elliott (135), Seth Wright (171), Tate Wilson (130), Dylan Berget (140), Charlie Berget (145), Josiah Coker (160), Dean Willey (171), Evan O’Brien (189) and Brandin Mills (Hwt).

Ronan won the tournament with Polson second and the Loggers third.

None of the local basketball teams were in action on Saturday.
