Ruth Dolores (Kinniburgh) Loveless, 74, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at her residence in Kalispell, with her family at her side. She was born May 20, 1934, in Wolf Point, to John Duncan and Jeannette Erma (Rawson) Kinniburgh.

Her family moved to Marion when she was 3 years old. She went to school for eight years in Marion and graduated early from Flathead County High School.

She married Donald Loveless on Dec. 28, 1952, in Kalispell, where they lived most of their lives. They were stationed at Camp Hanford, Wash., while Donald was in the Army in the 1950s.

Ruth loved bowling, gardening, camping, and her many friends and family. She loved taking care of her friends, among them, Julie, Shirley, Dorothy and Lil. She intensely loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She loved to go to rummage sales with Don and find many treasures for her family.

Besides being a housewife she had many jobs throughout the years. She worked at Hedges School, The Outlaw Inn and as registrar for births and deaths in Flathead County. Ruth was also one of the founding members of the South Kalispell Fire Department Auxiliary. She spent many hours helping to research and to establish the Fire Department and was an active member for many years.

One of her last adventures was when she drove to Alaska with her husband, Don, and her sister, Merle, and her husband Don. They stayed in a pop-up camper and they became proficient at setting up the camper each night. They each had their own job and could get it set up in about five minutes. Ruth was truly loved by many friends and family and will be sincerely missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jeannette; her infant sister, Betty; and brothers, John and Dale. She is survived by her husband, Don Loveless; her sons, Randy Loveless and wife, Kris, Ryan and wife, Cheryl, and Robbin, all of Kalispell; her grandchildren, Eric, Chad, Cassandra, Amanda, Josh, Jacob and Jeff Loveless, and Jessica Warner, all of Kalispell; many great-grandchildren and relatives; and her sister, Merle Komenda, and husband, Donald, of Marion.

Funeral services for Ruth will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral chapel. There is no visitation. Burial will be afterward at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to Home Options Hospice, 175 Commons Loop, Suite 100, Kalispell, MT 59901; or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home is caring for Ruth's family. You are invited to go to www.jgfuneralhome.com to offer condolences and sign Ruth's guest book.
