ROYAL CITY — The Knights of Royal High School received a pin from Justin Kincaid at 215 pounds to start Thursday night’s South Central Athletic Conference dual meet with Wahluke and the Knight never looked back on their way to a 61-9 victory.
Kincaid pinned Alan Garcia in 3:30 and Royal’s Jacob Bartlett earned a 7-3 decision over Jose Mata to give the hosting Knights a 9-0 lead after two matches.
Royal’s Brian Gallardo earned a forfeit victory at 103 pounds and Royal continued it’s dominance on the mat winning eight of the next 10 matches against Wahluke, including three by forfeit. There was no match at 130 pounds Thursday night.
The Knights improved to 2-0 in SCAC competition with their win over Wahluke.

Warden 54, Connell 23
CONNELL, Wash. — The Warden Cougars wrestling team continued its South Central Athletic Conference dominance Thursday night when they traveled to Connell and returned home with a 54-23 dual meet victory.
Warden got on the board first at 130 pounds when Scott Henderson pinned Tony Torales of Connell to give the Cougars a 6-0 lead early on. The Cougars continued to pour it on early, winning the first three matches Thursday night by pin on their way to an 18-0 lead.
The Cougars put the match out of reach at 160 pounds when Jose Gonzalez pinned Ryan Heinen in 2:15 to give the Cougars a 24-8 lead.
