SANDPOINT - A Bonner County Sheriff's Narcotics Unit investigation in Clark Fork has landed two people in jail on drug-dealing charges, according to court documents.

Danny Charles Marshall is charged with four counts of delivery of marijuana and Valerie Sue Marshall is charged with aiding and abetting the delivery of drugs. Bail was set at $50,000 each.

Judge Barbara Buchanan sustained the suspects' bail on Friday and appointed public defenders to represent them. Preliminary hearings are pending in the magistrate division of 1st District Court.

The pair was arrested on Thursday, after narcotics agents served search warrants in at least two different locations in the Clark Fork area. A warrant was obtained for a third location, but it was not immediately clear Friday if the search had been conducted or is still pending.

Danny Marshall, 37, is accused providing pot to a 31-year-old subject on Jan. 18. He's further accused of selling drugs to an undercover narcotics agent on Jan. 6, 15 and 20, charging papers say. Valerie Marshall, 49, is accused of aiding and abetting the alleged drug sale on Jan. 15.

The Marshalls were arrested following a search at the Meriwether Inn on the east side of Clark Fork, court records show. Christopher David Nisbet, 20, of Clark Fork, was also arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.

Another search was conducted in the 54,000 block of Highway 200, court records indicate. Claire Roylene Christy, 18, was arrested for misdemeanor possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and frequenting a location where drugs are present.

Court records indicate several other subjects are being sought for arrest in connection with the investigation.
