Stephen C. Henricks, 62, died unexpectedly July 11, 2009, at his home.

Steve was born July 10, 1947, in Anderson, Ind.

He graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1965 and attended Ball State University in Muncie, Ind.

Steve became a harness maker, and a breeder and trainer of Belgian drafts and Norwegian Fjord horses.

He lived throughout the country, from Indiana to Vermont, California to Oregon, and finally settled in  Bonners Ferry.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Ingeborg Henricks.

He is survived by sisters Toni Selsley (Mike) Columbus, Ohio, and Vicki Bolles (Tom) Leesburg, Ind.; a brother Jack Henricks of Anderson; and longtime friend Janet Sapp.

Steve loved the outdoors and the simple life. His family and friends will remember him for his independence, principles and loyalty. We will miss him.

A private service will be held. Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Restorium.
