Prisci Fashion Boutique offers another option

MOSES LAKE — If you want to lessen your chances of finding someone with the same outfit in Moses Lake, try shopping at Prisci’s Fashion Boutique.
It’s likely you won’t see hordes of the same women wearing the same clothes from the new business.
Just consider your chance all part of a numbers game.
Owner Priscilla Peterson makes it a point to carry a limited number of items in each style, she explained Thursday.
Her store’s purpose is to bring fashionable clothing and style to the area, that one won’t find in a regular department store buying bulk, Peterson explained.
The business offers a wide price range of women’s clothing, from $10 for tank tops, to about $30 for T-shirts, on up to the $200 to $300 for other items, she said.
She described most of her pieces as “younger, contemporary and trendy,” with many distressed jeans, capris, tank tops and “more girly” items.
The store also carries dresses and skirts.
“That’s because I love to wear dresses,” she commented.
Shoes and accessories are sold, too.
Clothing sizes range from extra small to 3X, depending on the line.
“There’s a little of bit of everything,” she said.
Peterson finds her store’s items from distributors in Los Angeles, Calif., which is where she lives and works as a medical malpractice defense attorney.
Her sister, Erika Ritchie, is the store manager in Moses Lake. Her parents, Greg and Cecilia Peterson, live in Moses Lake.
Peterson said she got the idea to open her own store after she worked at a small Los Angeles boutique and learned about the business.
She also recalled the need for places to shop in Moses Lake, even after leaving the town in about 1999 at age 15.
Before she opened the store, she visited Moses Lake three to four times a year.
“Moses Lake hasn’t really changed a whole lot since I left there, as far as stores and businesses,” she commented.
On Aug. 1, the business will offer a drawing for a $500 shopping spree in the store. To enter, stop by the store and fill out an entry form.
Winners need not be present to win.
Priscilla is considering designating one charity a month for donations and is accepting suggestions from people who stop by the store, she said.
Store hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The store is located at 210 E. Third Ave., Suite C, Moses Lake.
